MUSEUM
Our permanent cooperation with the Museum of the Origins of the Polish State in Gniezno has so far resulted in numerous promotional materials and many exhibitions, including Toy Exhibition and the Musical Culture which was awarded with the Grand Prix and the Izabella statuette.
Knowing the needs of our client, we have recently undertaken a project that has filled the empty and previously unused spaces of the museum. This is how the Family Sightseeing Path was born. The narrative is led by the brand heroes - Borka and Sambor. Thanks to the idea of the Family Sightseeing Path, visitors of all ages will be led through successive corridors of the institution.
STRUCTURE
The basic element of the Path are the boards we have prepared, which have been installed on modular, spatial, wooden cubes allowing for quick and easy modification of the exhibition. Thanks to this, it is possible to change the configuration of the elements or extend the exhibition with new modules. It is a practical and aesthetic solution, which does not involve high costs, and at the same time allows visitors to get acquainted with the topic of the exhibition in an attractive way.
We have also designed arrows on the floor, which inform about the direction of the visit, and wall stickers that reveal more interesting facts to the visitors.
BOARDS
Our boards are enriched with substantive text and graphics. In order to create them we have also used legible maps and expressive infographics illustrating information contained in the text. The whole is full of illustrations, preserved in an accessible, attractive form, and at the same time consistent with the visual identification of the museum developed in the past.
STANDS
The Family Sightseeing Path is made up of six stands. Each of them deals with a different topic:
STAND I
WHERE DO WE LEARN ABOUT THE BEGINNINGS OF POLAND?
Shows how we gain information about the past nowadays. In order to create it, we used rotating boards that interact with the visitors. On the first side, we have presented the relevant icons, and on the other side, we have presented text that focused on historical sources.
STAND II
WHAT WERE THE ORIGINS OF THE EUROPEAN NATIONS?
It talks about the beginnings of the countries in Europe. In order to clarify this issue, we have included map of Europe in the 10th and 11th centuries, with particular emphasis on Poland in the times of the first Piasts, and boards with supplementary information.
STAND III
WHO WERE THE FIRST PIASTS?
Explains who the Piasts were. In order to present this topic in an attractive way to the youngest, we made funny portraits of the Piast dynasty rulers. Their images and descriptions were placed in the niches of one of the museum walls. Thanks to that every possible space was used.
STAND IV
FEW DATES, AND ARE THEY ALL REAL?
Focuses on the dates of the beginnings of our country. We have placed them on a timeline that will make it easier for children to understand the order of events.
STAND V
HOW DID THE PIASTS EXERCISE THEIR POWER?
Brings closer, among other things, the meaning of borough, settlements and royal court in the form of a board game of our project. The board itself is placed on one of the cubes and enables learning through play.
STAND VI
HOW DID PEOPLE LIVE 1000 YEARS AGO?
Tells about the everyday life of the inhabitants in the early Middle Ages. In this place we used single cubics, the walls of which are covered with text and illustrations showing objects of everyday use during the Piasts dynasty.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS
Our activities also included the composition of the text and promotional materials, where we used the figures of Borka and Sambor - among other things, we prepared large-format installations showing their silhouettes. We have also created magnets, pins and the logo of the project.
In cooperation with the Museum of the Origins of the Polish State and Karol Kalinowski, we have also created a series of cartoons, which we have animated and sounded for the purposes of promotion.
